I wanted to apologize for the rudeness of one of my hosts on your network post. I know very well that business and personal lives are not to be mixed, but when I see such rude behavior I still cannot help but to feel some guilt since I consider you a friend. As you may know from your experience as a musician, being a public figure can be difficult, as if we should always be on our best behaviour, but I know how harsh and difficult he chooses to be regardless of that. I wanted to check in to make sure you're doing okay.

I'm busy all day Monday, from 11-7 on Tuesday, 8-2 on Wednesday, 8-11 and 5-10 on Thursday, 6 to about midnight on Friday, 7-1 on Saturday and all day Sunday. But I could make time for you! Did you want to do something?

[It's another Friday night concert successfully come and gone, and Phoenix Roost is winding down. Rei is putting away the night's records while Jyushi finishes up resetting the AV, but he pauses at the office door, turning to look at his young employee.]

Jyushi-kun. Come here a second.

[Avalon is pretty weird. Acting like a knight in shining armor is a little too polished a role for Rei to play, but the goodwill that comes with it does sometimes yield dividends. This time he'd been given a magic item... And after the shitshow that was catching Ichiro doing stupid hero bullshit all by his lonesome, well... can't be too careful. Better hand it off to his dumbass kid.

But Ichiro has his pride. (And Rei has his habits.)]

[Jyushi may have feelings for someone else, much more than just the crush he had on Rei, it doesn't mean that attraction to Rei is gone. He's still a handsome older man and so Rei asks him to come over? He's quick to stop what he's doing and go over to Rei.]

Inside is a slim bracelet, plain except for a few sparkling inlaid gems.] Got this thank-you gift from a local client. Said the protective magic works best with Leos.

Obviously[???], I'm not a Leo. And I asked, but neither of my boys are, either. Maybe you know someone who is? Hitoya, maybe?

[This year, living in their new and spacious abode, it's much easier for Hitoya to deliver Jyushi's gift discreetly. He gives it to the butler to leave in Jyushi's room, somewhere he'll find it easily whenever he wakes up or is getting ready.

It's a small package wrapped in silver paper that does little to bely magnitude of the gift inside. A complete collection of music from Jyushi's favorite band back home, Gods and Dreams are Fake.

The card is written with a little more flourish than usual.]

Happy Birthday, Jyushi. Twenty years old huh? Your first drink is on me the next time you have a free night.

[Jyushi is still getting used to the large layout of this castle. There's times where he forgets the right hall that Hitoya's office is in but he is running, trying to find him once he opens the gift.

He had opened a few doors, trying to remember where Hitoya's office was with a 'Hitoya-san?!'. By the time he does find Hitoya's office, he's out of breath but overjoyed when he sees Hitoya.]

Hitoya-san! How did you...? I haven't heard them in a year and...! Thank you so much!

In all seriousness though. It's not much, but Ichiro drops by with a homemade Chocolate Gateau (French style!) raspberries arranged on top like a flower, as delicately as he could manage. He also got a bouquet for Jyushi and, since Hitoya didn't elaborate on what he meant by "pig," a matching mini bouquet made of all edible flowers and treats for Elizabeth.]

[Jyushi will never get used to be called on like some young lord. Sure, Hitoya is a lord but Jyushi isn't one. Still, the ghosts of the castle treat him like one. So when they let him know his paramour is here, he's just a little taken aback.

But that's all but forgotten when he sees Ichiro standing there, his eyes lighting up from the bouquet which is what his eyes see first.]
